The Government of India has Failed to Protect Indian Citizens

I offer my deepest condolences to the victims of the New Delhi bombings and their families.  May God have mercy on their souls and relieve the suffering of those left behind.  I pray that the injured heal quickly.  I appeal to all young and healthy Indians to please visit their nearest hospital and donate blood.

It has become nauseatingly familiar. Low-intensity bombs placed in crowded markets, killing and maiming children, their parents, unsuspecting shoppers, unmindful of their caste, creed or religion. Within a month and a half of Jaipur, Bangalore and Ahmedabad terror blasts, Delhi was mauled on Saturday leaving 30 innocents dead and 90 injured.

In all, five bombs went off in less than half an hour. Two of them in the heart of Delhi in Connaught Place, two at the upscale Greater Kailash M Block market in south Delhi, and one, the most damaging one, in the crowded Ghaffar Market in Karol Bagh.

Three more bombs were defused, one of them at the popular Children's Park in India Gate, indicating the depraved mind of the terrorists.

The Indian Mujahideen, regarded by security agencies as a front of the Lashkar-Huji terror machine, has claimed responsibility for the blasts. The Indian Mujahideen email, titled "the Message of Death", said: "In the name of Allah, Indian Mujahideen strikes back once more. ... Do whatever you can. Stop us if you can."

This group had sent emails before the UP court blasts, the Jaipur and Ahmedabad blasts. This time, too, it sent an email to media groups, however, 10 minutes after the first blast. And for the third time, it specifically threatened
The Times of India for attacking terror.

The first blast took place at Ghaffar Market at 6.10 pm. Soon after that, two explosions rocked Connaught Place, one at Barakambha Road near Gopaldas Building at 6.30 pm and the other near the Metro station at the Central Park at 6.31 pm. Almost simultaneously, a blast hit M-block market in Greater Kailash-I near McDonald's and seven minutes later another bomb went off near Prince Pan Corner in the same market.

All blasts were of low intensity, and the defused bombs suggest they used the cocktail of ammonium nitrate, gun powder, ball bearings and nails, with timer devices , the same kind of bombs that were used in Jaipur, Bangalore and Ahmedabad, indicating that it's the same group that's wreaking terror across the country.

Eyewitnesses said that explosives at Connaught Place were kept in a dustbin in Central Park of Connaught Place while at Gopaldas building, the bombs were kept in a dustbin next to the bus stand. An 11-year-old boy, Rohit (name changed) who had witnessed two persons wearing a black dress putting two plastic bags inside the dustbin, is being examined by the cops.

Police say the first blast in Karol Bagh was the result of a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) cylinder explosion. The impact of the blasts in Karol Bagh could be gauged by the fact that an auto was thrown up in the air and got caught in the electrical wires.

Eyewitnesses claim that explosives were loaded on a bicycle near Prince Pan Centre in GK I and another inside a dustbin near McDonald's. All the blasts were of low intensity and ball bearings were used to maximize the impact.

In GK's M block market, the blast took place next to a Maruti car to maximise the impact but it did not explode averting a bigger tragedy. A low intensity blast with a timer was used to trigger the blast. The second blast which took place next to a pan shop was higher intensity but shopkeepers and shoppers had evacuated the area by then, reducing the human loss. All the blast sites were popular shopping destinations, and all of them were teeming with people on weekend shopping.

Three unexploded bombs were found later taking the total number of bombs to 8. The first was found near India Gate inside a dustbin at the Children's Park and one was defused at Regal Cinema Hall which was lying on the road, while another one was found at Central Park, again inside a dustbin. A National Security Guard (NSG) team defused the bombs after they were informed by the witnesses about unclaimed objects. NSG experts were assessing the situation and nature of explosives used.

The Delhi Police have installed a helpline for victims and any person willing to provide information and seek assistance. People can call on 011-23490212.

I am surprised that the Government of India is still sleeping.  What is it going to take to wake them up?  The has come to make strong anti-terrorist laws in India.  These laws need to be drafted and implemented immediately.  There is no time to loose.  The Government of India must do everything in its power to protect the Indian people.  I am deeply disturbed that the Government of India is taking this matter lightly.  The lives of Indian citizens should be the Government's first priority, however the Government has proven that their soft spot for Muslim terrorist fundamentalists ranks number one.  All citizens of India should understand that our country has faced huge terrorists problems under the present Government.  We should remove the Government.

Kashmiri Separatists Taking Orders from Pakistani Government

Kashmiri separatists are taking orders from the Pakistani Government.  The Government of India should throw all Kashmiri separatist leaders out of the country.

Two persons got killed and 50 others, including 20 Police and CRPF personnel, sustained injuries in two major and two minor incidents of violence leading to imposition of curfew on Baramulla and Shopian townships in Kashmir valley which in the afternoon observed shutdown and witnessed demonstrations over a call issued by the separatist Hurriyat Coordination Committee. In a significant development, meanwhile, Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has warned that all pro-India political leaders would be "thrown out of Kashmir'' if they participated in the forthcoming Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir.

After three days of complete normalcy, Kashmir today witnessed recurrence of violent clashes between people and Police/CRPF as Hurriyat Coordination Committee (HCC) had asked the Kashmiris to stage peaceful demonstrations after performing Friday afternoon prayers at mosques across the Valley. Even as shops, business establishments, banks, Government and private offices and educational institutes functioned normally and traffic operated smoothly in first half of the day, business streets wore a deserted look after 1300 hours.

Ambience was pregnant with trouble as followers of the separatist leaders had overnight installed green Islamic flags atop almost all BSNL and Airtel mobile phone towers in senior Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani's Hyderpora area from Humhama to Hyderpora Chowk on Srinagar-Airport Road. For the full day, such a flag was fluttering atop a tall tower situated inside a highly protected area between the new office complex of Director General of J&K Police and Indian Telephone Industry (ITI) complex on the Airport Road. Residents claimed that Pakistani national flags were seen fluttering atop a number of towers in the capital city.

Immediately after performing the afternoon congregational prayers, people at several mosques staged anti-India and pro-Azadi demonstrations. They demanded release of the separatist leaders and condemned Police crackdown that has been underway in the aftermath of five major rallies of the Hurriyat Conference and violent demonstrations across the Valley in August. With brief intervals of normalcy, Valley has been turbulent and nearly 50 people have died in clashes and firing since a controversy was generated and repeatedly fueled by political leaders over allotment of 40 hectares of land in favour of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board in May this year.

Even as most of the demonstrations with double and treple figure participation in the Valley dispersed peacefully without inviting action from Police and paramilitary forces, Shopian, old township of Baramulla besides Maisuma and Nowhatta localities in the capital city witnessed ding-dong violent clashes between the demonstrators and Police/CRPF.

Day's first violent clash took place in the South Kashmir township of Shopian. Informed sources said that hundreds of people shouted pro-Azadi, pro-Islam and anti-India slogans outside the Jamia Masjid even before the Friday prayers concluded. Amid heavy stone pelting from the demonstrators, Police and CRPF retaliated with baton charge and tearsmoke. Sources said that the demonstrators also attacked Deputy Commissioner's office and ransacked the computer rooms of a bank. Officials said that Police opened fire when the demonstrators refused to disperse, left eight Police and CRPF personnel wounded and began beating up three constables. They said that two of the demonstrators sustained gunshot wounds. One of them, identified as 18-year-old Sajjad Ahmed Ganai alias Sahba S/o Nazir Ahmed Ganai R/o Malik Mohalla Shopian, succumbed to injuries while being evacuated to a hospital.

Officials said that three CRPF and five J&K Police men sustained injuries in the clashes. They said that two of the critically injured Police personnel were battling for life at SKIMS and Police Hospital in Srinagar. They maintained that six of the demonstrators were admitted to hospitals with injuries and only one of them had gunshot wounds. Residents, however, insisted that more than 50 civilians sustained injuries and over a down of them had gunshot wounds. They complained that Police and CRPF let loose a reign of terror when they ran into residences, roughed up men and women and ransacked houses. They said that the men in uniform pelted stones and smashed windscreens of several vehicle parked on the streets or garages.

I am feeling ashamed of the Government of India.  They are sleeping.  It reflects badly on our country and our culture.  Now Indian people should prepare to throw out this Government and the Kashmiri politicians because they are working under the pressure of the CIA and FBI.  We do not need to tolerate such behavior in our country, and we won't.  We, the Indian people, know how to preserve and protect our homeland.
